Middletown, New York – Durasol Systems has partnered with the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to give back to their community. Early in 2007, Durasol President Richard LeMond made the commitment that a portion of 2007’s proceeds would be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses. With help from its dealers, Durasol was able to donate enough money to grant two wishes to children located in New York’s Hudson Valley. On December 19th, Mr. LeMond, along with the Durasol employees, presented Tom Conklin, the President and CEO of the Hudson Valley Chapter with a check for $15,000. “What a great time of year to be granting wishes,” Mr. LeMond stated. He furthered their commitment by saying, “Durasol Systems will continue to participate in the Make-A-Wish Foundation in 2008, 2009, and beyond.”

THE WISHES DURASOL HELPED GRANT

While many donations are made with no visual of the outcome, the Make-A-Wish Foundation presented Durasol Systems with the stories of the children whose wishes were granted through their contributions. Here are their stories:

Casey
A sweet and lovely eight-year-old who loves animals, Casey had her wish come true – to go to Disney World. Two thumbs up was Casey’s reaction when asked to describe her week at Disney World. She and her family enjoyed everything from a stretch limousine ride to and from the airport, special breakfasts with her favorite characters, and VIP passes to the front of the lines.

Shane
A teenage sports nut, Shane wished to meet NBA legend Michael Jordan, and got to meet him in Chicago! After staying at a luxury hotel, Shane and his family got to meet Mr. Jordan, taking many pictures and getting tons of autographs, then traveled to a Chicago Bulls game.

Through the support of our dealers and many customers, Durasol will continue to help grant the wishes of children with terminal or life-threatening diseases in the future.
